The Miss 吃瓜直播 (EGSC) Scholarship Pageant is set to take place on Friday, April 4, at 6 p.m. in the Luck F. Gambrell Building Auditorium of the East Georgia State College (EGSC) Swainsboro campus. Admission to the event is free and open to the public.

Seven talented young women will compete for the title of Miss EGSC, showcasing their abilities in a variety of competition phases, including interview, opening number, casual wear, evening gown, and on-stage question. The pageant aims to provide an opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills, poise, and personality while vying for scholarships and recognition.

"We are excited to celebrate the incredible talents of our students through this pageant," said Harley Smith, Vice President for Institutional Advancement. "This event is an opportunity to highlight the hard work, dedication, and diverse accomplishments of these young women, and we look forward to seeing the competition unfold."

Meet the contestants:

Haley Mikinzi Walker is the 18-year-old daughter of Adrian and Charles Walker of Metter, Georgia. She is currently pursuing her associate of arts in social sciences degree. Her community service project for the competition is 鈥淗aley鈥檚 Community Pollution Cleanup Initiative.鈥�

Malana Jayne Moore is the 19-year-old daughter of Tim and Alice Moore of Jefferson County, Georgia. She is currently studying criminal justice. Her community service project is the Jefferson County Christmas Toy Drive.

Jasmine Denise Crew is the 20-year-old daughter of Kimberly Dunn and Kiwanis Curry of Grovetown, Georgia. She is studying business administration, and her community service project aims at inspiring kids in the community.

Katelyn Harris is the 19-year-old daughter of Emily and Joshua Harris of Guyton, Georgia. She is currently studying elementary education at EGSC. Her community service project is 鈥淎nxious to Meet You,鈥� a program to mentor young women struggling with anxiety.

Miracle Williams is the 19-year-old daughter of Shirley and Ricky Williams of Statesboro, Georgia. She is pursuing a degree in elementary education, and her community service project is 鈥淔eed the Kids,鈥� a program aiming to help provide healthy meals and nutritional support for children in the community.

Taylor Elizabeth Smith is the 20-year-old daughter of Beau and Emily Smith and Tiffany and Lee Smith. Taylor is from Collins, Georgia, and is studying natural science at EGSC. Her community service project is 鈥淩ising Ranches,鈥� which spreads awareness about farmers and their mental health.

Savannah Allen is the 22-year-old daughter of Missy Allen of Augusta, Georgia. She is studying natural science, and her community service project is 鈥淭he Runway,鈥� a program aiming to offer a safe space for children to express themselves on the runway.

The Miss EGSC Scholarship Pageant is an annual event that underscores the college's commitment to fostering academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement. The event will also celebrate the achievements of Marleigh Clark, Miss EGSC 2024.
